ssri drugs dont help, xanax isnt strong enough

Posted by lunchpal on August 12, 2008, at 14:58:45

I feel like a lab rat! i am currently on 3mg of xanax for the last 4 years. i dont notice the relief i previously had experienced. I don't know how to approach my doctor about trying something else. I have tried EVERY single SSRI, SSRNI medication out there, adivan, klodipins, and nothing helps but xanax. I get terrible panic attacks, where i can't breathe, my heart races and i experience a lot of sweating in my sleep. i know it is stress induced, however, my job is like everyone elses full of stress!!! i also have a terrible problem with IBS, which results in no appetite, no weight gain, embarrassing trips to the bathroom and socially i want to do less and less b/c i'm afraid. has anyone tried the xanx that is suppose to last all day? or what about the tablets under the tongue? is there something besides SSRI drugs that could go well with xanax?
