But... If the degree of disruption is less (though I'll admit my present day memory is spotty at best), it's not quite as clear.

One of the EMDR therapists I contacted didn't want to work with me because she thought leaving the dissociation in place was better. That attempting to dislodge it would destabilize me too much.
