how to become a therapist/psychologist

Posted by cordy on January 14, 2004, at 17:57:15

I am absolutely fascinated by the human mind. Depression in particular. How it happens, how it goes away. Talking to people that have experienced it. Anyway, I’m thinking a psychologist or therapist or something of that form would be a good job for me. Is it possible (I figure some of the people with these occupations post here) for someone to tell me what classes to take, what a good college for this field is, maybe some high school opportunities/programs I could look into? How many years of school does it take to be able to get a job? I’m a sophomore right now. Any information, advise, whether this is a good occupation, what this work includes… I would love to hear it. Thanks.
