I don't think it's ever bad to have another's voice in mind, especially a positive one. Maybe you miss him so much now because you're otherwise feeling so awful.
I carry on conversations with my T all the time, only they're one way conversations - I never hear her voice. I think I'm just trying to explain things to her in a way that's acceptable to me and understandable by her. I frequently have to do this before I can raise issues in therapy.
It's horrible to feel so isolated - for me it's when I spend too much time just living inside my head. However difficult, I think you need to find ways to lose that sense of isolation. I'm sorry that you don't feel you can afford therapy, but there may be resources you're not familiar with - maybe even a group you could join. And of course, you can always submit youself to the innumberable fine amateur clinicians on this Board, who obviously care greatly for you. (-;
