When I get anxious, all sorts of things happen. My body reacts, I get more migraines, I often get listless, and I get unreasonable fears. Like, I worry that one of my cats has cancer, that my best friends no longer like me.
Chick, I don't know your circumstances, but it could very well be that you are experiencing a peak of anxiety for some reason. Thanksgiving is over, Christmas is coming up - are you looking at dealing with family stuff soon? Has something happened recently that might have made you feel as you do? Had something changed in your life around the time these symptoms started?
Stopping Remeron is probably the culprit.
In any case, there are things you could do:
make sure you are getting lots of exercise, early in the day, not at night or it can keep you awake. Exercise can help the body recalibrate, can be the most helpful thing for our minds. Get outside and walk.
Try to sleep regular hours. Go to bed at the same time each night and get up at the same time each morning whehter you have slept well or not.
If you have to nap, do so in the early afternoon for not more than 30 minutes.
Drink lots LOTS of water. Avoid too much coffee and tea. Herb teas are great.
Try not to eat too much sugar.
Eat balanced, regular meals.
Make sure you are getting enough B vitamins. A good B-stress complex can help.
Chick, the way you are feeling is the sort of thing it's good to have a psychiatrist for. S/he can help you sort it out. Could you discuss the suggestions I made above with him/her?
If it's from discontinuing Remeron, it's a matter of time. I hope you came off it very slowly.
As for whether or not you have a brain tumour, you probably don't. You are probably having a reaction either to the withdrawal from Remeron (most probable), or to stressors in your life. Could it be a combination fo both?
Of course, this is the world according to Shortelise. Only my experience. Sometimes when I am going through an awful time, I can help myself by telling myself that it will pass, it will pass.
