It's tough when something like this happens and it's forced on us. I think the answer to your question depends on how stable you are on the meds you presently take. If you're really just being maintained on them and don't anticipate making changes, your regular doc might be fine. Lots more of them are prescribing psychotropic drugs now. I don't think I would trust my internist to advise me about possible alternatives now since my drug history is long and complicated.
