I think you should discuss your concerns about his credentials with your new therapist. If he's truly unlicensed and uncredentialled, perhaps you should look elsewhere. In either case, whether he's licensed and credentialled or not, if he can't manage to soothe your concerns about his skills and education I can't imagine therapy getting very far.
How can get therapy get anywhere if you feel contempt for his level of skill and education?
