I agree with the above posters that said she wouldn't judge you. I think that she would have specialized in something other than psychiatry if she were a person who judged others for being on meds. Actually, I think that whether she agrees w/ pdoc 2 or not on the meds, she probably will be pleased that you are taking your health seriously and following your doctors recommendations.

If you are worried abt it, you could request that pdoc2 talk to pdoc1 before your 1st appt w/ her. That way everyone can be on the same pg. It also takes the pressure off of you to explain.

Also, for folks w/ hard to treat conditions, it is not unusual to gain a few meds as time goes on. i know that happened to me. I started out just on paxil and after a few yrs I take 5 meds. Our goal is to drop a few out, but we need me to get healthy 1st.

Also, I suspect that pdoc1 trusts pdoc2 or she wouldn't have left her patients under his care when she went on leave.
