Congrats on finding a T that you think will be a good match. :o) That is a nice feeling.

i think the trust part is dependent on you and your T. Your respective personalities, the degree of "match" and where you are at mentally/emotionally. If i had met my current T a few months ago i wouldn't have been able to connect to him. OTOH, if i met my old T *now* i would have the same problem. Different head space means different approaches.

i am stronger now, i can handle heavier stuff and i know i have to deal with some things soon or things are going to get very bad. i am very motivated to work on the trust issue as much as possible. But i don't trust him yet. i need to see certain rxns to things... like if i tell him about event A, is he going to freak out? i need to kind of assess that.

if you feel she is a good match then i think that is the first step to building trust.
