I think it's OK to be scared (and it's perfectly reasonable to be that way) to go back after a break. My return is tomorrow, and I can't even remember what we were talking about the last time we spoke - yikes! Your T is very persistent, though, Muffled. We can all see that she hasn't given up on you, and so she keeps earning your trust, no? Even though you keep thinking that you don't deserve it.

Sorry that you fell and hit your noggin on the ice. In all my romanticizing of years past when I used to live up north, I do manage to forget that just about every year, I'd have a painful and spectacular fall at some point on the ice. And what I remember most about those falls is doing the quick look-around to see if anyone else had seen it. If I was all alone, then I was OK! No witnesses! Messed up head goes back a loooong way, ha ha!

So, maybe try to be kind of neutral about today with your T - keep your expectations LOW. That way you won't yourself worked up and scared about what she'll remember to ask about. If you're not happy about the stuff she asks about, tell her it makes you feel funny? Or that you don't know? She'll get it, you know she will.
