I've a slightly off-center addition: My T doesn't use any terms of endearment; does not even use my name. This is how we discovered my identity disturbance, which had been mostly silent until now. I thought he was avoiding my name in order to surface the disturbance, but in fact he wasn't using it because he is afraid of the intimacy that, to him, such use would imply. We were coming at the same issue -- what to call me -- from totally different perspectives.
