If you blank out in session, do you think you might find it helpful to write down the thoughts you have difficulty expressing, and bring the writings to her? I used to do that a lot with my therapist.

I also sometimes ask him to look away or close his eyes when I tell him something difficult. And have been known, though I'm not proud to admit it, to tell him things with my hair pulled over my face, or my head bent so far that I can't possibly see him or be seen myself.

Are you afraid of her reaction?
