> Got the e-mail this morning. I hate how they say stupid crap about how they were "impressed" with my skills and interviews but they've "decided to pursue other candidates". Why can't they just give it to me straight and tell me they hate me and wish they hadn't wasted their time interviewing me? Obviously they weren't that impressed with anything. I must have been the first candidate eliminated -- they took about half the time they said they would to decide.

Sweetie,

It is demoralizing interviewing and receiving such crappy rejection letters. But from what people have written here is that it is *common* and not something to do with *you*.

You just went through an icky process but chalk it up to experience and try to see it as how the company lost out on you and not how they didn't choose you.

Any company not hiring someone like yourself with your degree is missing out. It might take some time to find a position that is right for you but I'm willing to bet the time is worth it.

You're on the job hunt. A hunt! Grab your pith helmet and a spear and keep hunting.

I believe in your ability to continue forward just as you did through school and graduation.
