adoption question?

hi all,
I'm considering adoption. My hubby and I meet all the hypothetical requirements -- stable home, stable salary, no history of violence or crime, no illegal drug use, we're married, in the right age bracket.

BUT -- I also read that agencies get to see the potential adoptive parents' entire medical history. Since I've taken Lexapro off and on for a few years, and sometimes Xanax, for anxiety/depression, do you think this could "disqualify" me from being an adoptive mom?
Would they think I'm awful and weird and psycho and tell me to get lost, that I have no business adopting a baby?

I hope not. I'm stable, kind, nice -- I'd be a GREAT mom. But I'm worried about this.

Does anyone here have experience with this, or know a bit about the US practices?
