You definitely have the right to ask about the content of a video before you view it. I've been emotionally hijacked many times in school. One sensitive instructor told us that we had the option of watching a video alone if we thought we might be more comfortable.

I hate sitting in class trying not to cry and wiping my nose on notebook paper because I don't have any tissue.
