I have a hook in my ceiling

I've come back to university and moved into a new room. There is a hook in the ceiling. I doubt it would hold my weight, but having it there makes me think about suicide maybe even more than I would otherwise.
Taking it down would involve making a hole in the ceiling, and would be hard to explain.
What should I do with it?
PS I wouldn't actually use it, it just triggers my thinking.
