This doesn't have anything to do with school,
but my dad was a forensic investigator (not scientist) for the police for 15 years, until he retired. He still gets called out every once in a while on tough cases.
He was one of the top 4 in Canada, and got a letter of commendation from the P.M.At that time, you couldn't just be a forensic investigator, or profiler you had to have years of policework behind you.
It's fascinating, the profiling part amazes me.
