In reply to HELP!!! I failed all my GCSEs, posted by Clemence on September 21, 2006, at 18:48:26
Hello
Well I dunno really what your options are. It depends on how you feel yourself. Do you like studying? Did you fail your GCSE's because you were ill, for example, or did you try really hard and have good teachers and things?
I personally, would re-sit them - at least the vital ones you need nowadays like science, maths, maybe a couple more. It might just be that your teachers were no good, you weren't motivated enough to study, or you were going through a bad patch.
I mean, I got a E in A-level physics, and that was mostly because I hated the teacher (he was a perve), didn't turn up to class and things like that. In constrast, I also got a A in geology....so bad grades don't nessescary mean you aren't bright.
That being said alot of famous/successful people didn't get GCSEs --
I mean, perhaps you'd be better off getting a job that involves something you're interested in. You can always work your way up...Often degrees, A-levels aren't all that much use nowadays and you get straddled with a debt.
Kind regards
Meri
