I'd say I try to treat studying like a full time job. So if I'm at the uni having a lecture, say 8-10, then I'll go to the library and study for couple of hours, have an hour for lunch, than back to study in the afternoon for 4 hours, them go home at dinner, have dinner etc and then try to do some more at home.

So I'd reckon about 5-6 hours a day, excluding classes and excluding the weekend.

I don't think you can get by on any less! Unless you have only one lecture a week or something....
