No, I was refused after the first few assessment sessions for being too unstable. Apparently you have to fairly 'well' to be able to work with CBT. That's bad because I had to wait about 18 months for that appointment. How can anyone with bipolar say for certain that they will be doing well and be stable in 18 months time?

I was doing quite well - or so I thought. I was my usual self, but I completed a month long report on all my thoughts and moods etc and it ran into 40 pages of A4. After reading it the therapist said she thought I was too unstable for treatment at that time.

Just i got the boot from a program cuz i wasn't stable enough and i thot that it was such a joke and it a bit pissed me off all right.
Apparently a person goto be 'just so', to do this stuff.
Was it cbt or DBT?
