Dear Nikki,
I'm so sorry about what's happened to you. I saw your message on the other forum, but didn't realize it was you, and didn't know quite what to answer. Though I don't know much about how hormones and depression interact, I'll bet there is a correlation between your unknown pregnancy and your recently increased depression. Hormones are very strange things! What a difficult time this must be for you! Have you told your husband yet? If you haven't, I think it would be a very good idea, because you need all the close support you can find. My (admittedly limited) experience with friends who've gotten pregnant, and then had abortions or had early miscarriages, is that it does take a while for the "pregnant" hormones to get out of the body, and it may be a couple of weeks before you feel "normal" again. Take care of yourself in the meanwhile! Can you find a way to do something nice for yourself in the next couple of days? Or over the weekend? A massage would be a good thing, for instance.
I hope you'll begin feeling better soon, m'dear, and I hope you'll keep us posted on how you're doing. Maybe you should talk with your doctor about using a different contraceptive pill?
Thinking about you quite a lot --
Louisa
