I had anxiety while on paxil and doctor prescribed buspar along with it. It worked for me.

If the paxil is helping your other symptoms consider asking him/her about buspar. Of course if Paxil isn't working for you at all you might need another type of anti-depressant.

Each of them works on a different mechanism in the brain.
