Anger Control/Rage Question

Posted by w.childress on March 6, 2001, at 14:57:16

I'm looking for recommendations about helping an 11-y-o female who is severe ADHD, often Oppositional, and occasionally experiences out of control rages. She takes 40 mg Ritalin (15/15/10) each day for the ADHD. She has been taking 20 mg Prozac for the past two years. This eliminated the Rages for approximately 18 months. When the rages returned, the Prozac was increased to 40 mg. but the Rages continue. After the rage runs its course, she is often remorseful about the things she has said to her parents during the rage. Any suggestions for bringing the rage back under control?
