Hi,

I'm new here too but wanted to say welcome and keep coming back. I think you can learn so much and get alot of support.

I'm also diagnosed Bipolar II rapid cycling (I'm also an alcoholic) but not sure if I believe the bipolar diagnosis either. My new philosophy is that I don't really care what the diagnosis is as long as I find the right meds! Don't let the label of bipolar bother you- it's just someone's opinion.

Try to go easy on yourself and be patient with your recovery- you've been through an awful experience. I hope you feel better soon.

As far as feeling like a zombie, my advice is talk to the doctors and educate yourself on different meds as much as possible.

Take care and good luck.

> I am new here although I have already posted on the other boards. I am suffering from depression. One pdoc thinks I am bipolarII with rapid cycling but I don't believe that.
> The last doc that I saw just recently said I am grieving. My boyfriend/fiance of 11 years is now with my best friend of 36 years. Going on behind my back for God knows how long. It really did me in. I am on so many meds I don't even want to leave the house and I don't. The drugs cured the sadness sort of but have left me like a zombie. There has to be a middle ground here somewhere. I'm glad I found this site.
