I used to post under the name Ilene. Several months ago I was hospitalized and had ECT and I've lost much of my memory. I also lost interest in a lot of the things I used to do, including PB, but I thought I would give it another try. I've been lurking for a little while and see some familiar names.
I moved from the Washington DC area to San Francisco about a year ago, and I have very few friends and don't work, so I'm pretty isolated and *bored* out of my skull. I suffer (that's the operative word) from intractable depression and some anxiety. I'm taking Prozac, Cytomel, and Abilify right now but they're not doing much. I've been on so many drugs I can't remember all of them. ECT didn't do anything for me either, but it was worth a try. I think I would do better if I had more of a life, but I feel so out of it and can't maintain conversations with people very well. I'm going to try taking an exercise class and doing some volunteer work, and start my sewing hobby again.
