I'm sorry to hear you are sick, but pleased to hear from you too.
I think your T is giving good advice about going in.
I think I can hear that you are scared that 'it' might get you in the end.
I too knew that my life hung in the balance and I KNOW I am only here because of my T but now when I look at my choices 'that one' isn't at the top of the list.
As for your physical illness being tied up with your loss, I would think it is highly likely, in years gone by many psychological illness were expressed in this way as real sickness but found to have a psychological links
