Cymbalta and pain management

I was prescribed nortryptiline for neuropahtic pain due to radiculopathy, but my doctor has put me on Cymbalta. I am having a difficult time transitioning from one medication to another. I am having severe headaches. Does anyone have any suggestions to make the transition easier?
