I think you've gotten good advice already on what to do if your life is in danger. I've hesitated on posting this because if you really are suicidal going to a hospital is what you must do even though its scary and I don't want to talk you out of it. You have to make that decision yourself.

If you decide that you aren't quite at the point where you need to be hospitalized you still need to ask for help. Anywhere you can. Quickly and loudly. I know the feeling that you need someone to even pick up the phone for you - that coping with anything is too much. It's an awful feeling but you can force yourself to do it.

What if you call your mother or someone else in the family? Don't worry about worrying THEM. You need them and that's what families are for. Feeling guilty about what you think you've put other people thru is another symptom of how upset you are. You can also call that family doctor who prescribes your meds and tell him you need to see him immediately. Obviously those meds aren't doing what they are supposed to be doing. Or ask him to send you to someone else - immediately. Or do both. Go in in person and sob all over his office if you need to. That sometimes gets results when a calm sounding phone call doesn't.

Good luck. There really is help out there.

Jane
