In general (and I'm not an expert) I think the "sex" matters less, and your raport with them matters more. If you feel "connected" (or a nice comfort level) I think a good therapist can help either sex, and often does. I see a female and I have "issues" (as my daughter says) with men. And my T has been extremely helpful.
