Why go off effexor????

Posted by Stacers on January 19, 2005, at 3:36:09

Hey there. I am new to this site. In my reading of a few posts I have some real conserns. My doctors put me on effexor xr aprox 5 months ago because of depression and anxiety. Of course the side effects were not fun to start and if you miss a dose (currently missed two days in a row and suffering withdrawls) But this is a small price to pay, I think, because effexor has completly changed my life. I am no longer sluggish and tired all the time. I have energy and am not so stressed. My concern is this.... Why am I constintly reading of everyone going off effexor? Is there something I should know? Is this drug not good? I am worried now because of all the posts I read. Why is everyone trying to go off???
